ZAPPA FANS INVADE CORBY, ENGLAND, 8/9 MARCH 2013

Eight bands - and fans from the UK, Ireland, France, Holland and Germany - will descend upon the Raven Hall, Corby for the first ever Festival Moo-ah! The event, dedicated to Frank Zappa, takes place on the evenings of Friday 8th and Saturday 9th of March.
ZAPPATiKA will headline on the Friday night with a two hour set. They will be supported by Bavarian guitar virtuoso, Chato Segerer; Nottingham's Just Another Band, who will repeat their epic Zappanale #23 performance of Billy The Mountain; and Gumbo Variation, performing their FZ-influenced rock-fusion.
Saturday night will be headlined by the premier UK Zappa Band, The Muffin Men, who in their 23 years together have played with no less than seven original Zappa band members. The FoolZ from Holland will also play a Zappa set, while Corby favourites Hogwash will restore some sanity! The event will be brought to a crazy climax by the eyebulging brass of the Spanner Jazz Punks.
Between the main bands, on both nights, local star Hannah Faulkner will host the 'Acoustic Corner' with friends.
"We are only in it for the music," says co-organiser Ian Day, "All profits will go to ProstAid, a local Prostate Cancer charity."
